For the fourth consecutive year, students and staff at Blackburn Central High School will be supporting the Blackburn Foodbank charity.
We aim to hand over our donations to Blackburn Foodbank just before the summer holidays, during the last week of July.
This is the busiest time of year for Foodbanks as children are unable to access their free school meals during the holidays, leaving many families struggling to feed their children.
It would be very much appreciated if you could send your child in to school with one or more of the items listed below:
- Tinned fruit or vegetables, particularly tinned tomatoes
- Tinned meat or fish
- UHT fruit juice
- Biscuits or cereal
Some of our families are celebrating the Holy month of Ramadan, a time of spiritual reflection and charitable contributions.
May I please request that you consider donating food items during this special time?
Many thanks for your continued support.
