A student at Blackburn Central High School has secured himself a part time job with a renowned Michelin star chef.
Sol, a year 11 hospitality student at BCHS, has aspirations to become a chef when he leaves school. To aid him on his career path, his hospitality teacher, Mr McCrone, has helped to secure him a part time job at The Three Fishes in Mitton, with Michelin star and Lancashire chef, Nigel Haworth.
Nigel is a Blackburn lad who has worked in a variety of high-end food establishments, is a published author and has also won Master Chef: The Professionals.
Mr Mccrone said: “Sol has worked every weekend over the last month and also worked the whole week at half term.
Having spoke to Nigel, him and his team are very impressed with Sol’s level of commitment and learning.
“May I take this opportunity to wish Sol all the luck with this job, I hope to see him become a great chef like Nigel.”
