Year 10 students represented Blackburn Central High School at the latest Peace Charter workshop. The workshops, held at Witton Park High School, involved students from schools across the borough.
This government recognised initiative unites young people in their views, and helps them to learn about their similarities and common shared values.
Most importantly the young people work together, outlining their views on extremism, racism and intolerance during these in-depth workshops.
The next workshop will be held in November, followed by a Q&A session at the Council Chambers in December.
The Peace Charter culminates in March, with all the students becoming Peace Charter delegates at an all-day event at Ewood Park.
