Year 9 students in Blackburn Central have been highlighting the danger of energy drinks in their Active Minds work.
Jenna Downing, an athlete mentor from the Youth Sport Trust, assisted the Year 9 students who talked with Year 7 and 8 about the dangers of energy drinks.
They also looked at the amount of sugar in different drinks, and the impact it can have on their bodies.
With a greater understanding of these issues, the students can disseminate useful information across the school about making sensible choices and maintaining a healthy diet.
The Active Minds programme has enabled the students to build new relationships and learn new skills, giving them more confidence to talk about their health and well being.
