Schools Working Together

Schools Working Together

This week students in Year 8 and 9 represented Blackburn Central High School at a round table discussion about radicalisation, extremism and community cohesion that took place at Witton Park High School.

The initiative, called “Schools Working Together”, follows on from the hard work produced by students as part of the successful Peace Charter project.

As part of The Peace Charter, schools pledged to work together and created a forum where students had the opportunity to speak with MPs, representatives from the Police, the Department of Education, and other professional bodies.

All schools across the Blackburn with Darwen borough are involved, with the round table being a great opportunity for the students to ask a panel of experts, from many different areas, questions about issues that directly affect them.
