Roald Dahl Day 2017

Our Key Stage 3 students at Blackburn Central High School celebrated Roald Dahl Day in the library on Wednesday 13th September 2017.

Students took part in special lessons where they explored some of Willy Wonka’s wonderful creations from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory including his ‘Whipple-scrumptious Fudegmallow Delight.’

During lunch time students were invited to participate in chocolate tasting, ‘marvellous medicine’ sampling and our Gobblefunk Quiz where they tried out our new Roald Dahl Dictionary.

All the activities were accompanied by a playlist of songs from musical and film adaptations of Roald Dahl’s work.

The winners from our ‘Design your own chocolate bar’ competition will be announced in assemblies next week, and students can enter until the end of the day on Friday 15th September 2017. Keep those entries coming in!
