Wear it Pink
04/11/2020

The last Friday before half term Miss Rossi organised for staff at Blackburn Central High School to take part in Wear It Pink, to raise money for Breast Cancer Now, the research and care charity.

Staff had the opportunity to wear something pink, take part in a bake sale and raffle, and support this very worthwhile charity. Their generous donations will make such a difference to those suffering with breast cancer and those who may be affected in the future.

Miss Rossi said:

"It has been wonderful to see so much pink as I have walked around school today and I am so pleased to say that the total amount raised so far is a fantastic.
I am so grateful to all of you but especially to those who went the extra mile: Miss Leake and Mrs Baldwin for their gorgeous baking and selling cakes throughout the day. Miss Davies, Mr Hamill and Miss Patel for their cake contributions and helping us to sell even more, Mrs Hughes for her generous donation of a Body Shop bundle, and the PE Team who took the award for the best example of Wearing it Pink!"

Overall an amazing £320 was raised, thank you to all the staff who took part, and well done to Mrs Cliffe who won the Body Shop bundle.
