Free School Meals - Apply Now!
26/01/2021

The health and wellbeing of students at Blackburn Central High School is very important to us. Eating a healthy lunch benefits children; It can improve their diet, increase their concentration, and decreases health inequalities.

We are encouraging all families who might be eligible for Free School Meals to apply as soon as possible, due to changes under Universal Credit. If you are eligible, we will be notified, and your child will receive free school meals until they leave school.

Every child registered for free school meals also increases the funding school can apply for, it means we can access more resources for our children, such as laptops for remote learning, grants to provide one-to-one tutors, or other opportunities that can improve our students' education and life chances.
