Go Ape in Delemere Forest
17/02/2020

Last Friday students from Blackburn Central High School joined with students from Queen Elizabeth Grammar School for an exciting and adrenaline filled session at Go Ape in Delemere Forest.

This was part of the Linking Schools Project, a national initiative which helps students to socialise and build relationships with students from other schools. This was the first of three collaborative events that this group of Year 9 students will take part in.

All of the students teamed up to take part in a dizzying and nerve-wracking Tree Top Trail. Both groups of students represented their schools well, supporting Mrs Craig, and their new friends from QEGS as they traversed the course.

Despite the cold weather, all students maintained a fabulous attitude and showed great resilience and team building skills. After the excitement of zip wires and rope challenges, the students enjoyed a much needed lunch with their new friends.

Our students are looking forward to their next collaborative event, and learning what it’s like to be part of each other’s school communities.
