Students and staff at Blackburn Central High School are taking part in Number Day 2018 to help raise money for the NSPCC.
The BCHS Maths department will be running The Big Number Hunt on Friday 2nd February, where students will be challenged to hunt for staff wearing specific numbers, such as “Which teacher is a square number?”
Students can be sponsored for every question they get right, or parents and carers can make a set donation. Our students will also be selling sweet cones and cakes at break and lunch, as well as taking part in number based games.
Next Thursday during lunch time the Maths staff will be competing against each other in a numeracy competition and students will be visiting progress groups during progress time selling tickets.
The money we raise will ensure that the NSPCC can continue to lead the fight against child abuse. You should all feel extremely proud that you are helping other children and young people to have safer, happier lives.
