The school has been asked to participate in COVID PCR Surge testing to help better understand the local outbreak of the Delta or 'India' variant of COVID-19. All parents and carers will be asked to give consent for their children who are pupils of the school to participate in this surge testing. This will be carried out home using a PCR Test kit and not a Lateral Flow Device test kit. These will be provided for all consenting parents and carers and the time table is as follows:
- Wednesday 16th June - PCR Surge Test Consent Forms sent either via Parent App or paper copy for those not registered with Parent App.
- Monday 21st June - Deadline for return of consent letters via Parent App or return of paper copy letter.
- Thursday 24th June - PCR tests given out to participating pupils in school. The tests to be registered and completed at home on this day. When registering your PCR test, please note that the school's PCR Test Site ID is BHOH.
- Friday 25th June - All participating pupils to deliver back completed PCR tests to school for collection by the Local Authority. Parents should drop off the tests to the Main Entrance of the school in one of the collection boxes provided by 11:00. Please do not put completed tests in the post. Please note that pupils participating in the Surge Testing will be required to access remote learning from home on Friday the 25th June to enable the tests and the results to be processed. All other pupils not taking part in the Surge testing will be required to attend school as normal.
