Miss Leake wins Teaching Assistant of the Year 2019

National Teaching Assistant Day was 16th September, it’s a day where support assistants all over the country are recognised for the amazing work they do everyday to support children.

We are fortunate to have a large number of support staff at Blackburn Central High School, who work tirelessly to provide both in class and out of class support for some of our most vulnerable students.

As part of National Teaching Assistant Day a nationwide competition was held by Teaching Personnel, where Teaching Assistants could be nominated for the great work they do.

Miss Leake was nominated by three different members of staff from our school and was presented with flowers and chocolates by a representative from Teaching Personnel, in recognition for how often she goes above and beyond for our students.
