Students watch Mary Poppins Jr at Burnley College

Mary Poppins Jr

Last Thursday forty-five of our Drama and Music students watched Mary Poppins Jr at Burnley College Sixth Form Centre.

Talented Burnley College Performing Arts and Dance students wowed the audience with their festive performance of this Walt Disney classic.

Karen Pates, Head of Creative Industries at Burnley College Sixth Form Centre, said:

“Mary Poppins Jr is the perfect feel-good production to help families get into the festive spirit.

“It’s packed with some real family favourite songs, including Chim Chim Cheree, Let’s Go Fly A Kite, Super-cali-fragil-istic-expi-ali-docious and, of course, A Spoonful of Sugar.”

This was a fantastic opportunity for our Performing Arts students to learn more about pathways available after secondary school; plus experience live musical theatre.

Our students enjoyed the amazing performance, additionally, members of the public commented on how well-behaved they were, and remarked they were a credit to Blackburn Central High School.
