With the right intervention and support every child can succeed, so our team fully supports students on the SEND register. We have specially trained staff who support students in lessons, work 1:1 and also in small groups to enhance the learning experiences of those who could benefit from extra support.
Moving to secondary school can be very daunting, so during breaks and lunchtimes we offer a safe space for students to sit with friends and chat.
We monitor the progress of the students on the register and conduct Reading and Maths tests every six months, as well as running numerous Interventions during progress time and after school to help students close the gaps with their peers.
Our Accelerated Learning groups follow a bespoke timetable which places extra emphasis on English and Maths, as well as improving social skills, self-esteem and mental well-being. At Key Stage 4 these students follow a specific programme which consists of extra English and Maths lessons and a range of Level 1 or Level 2 options.
