All students at Blackburn Central High School now have access to Kooth, a free online counselling and emotional well-being service for children and young people.
Kooth is safe, confidential, and anonymous. It is free to use, and available via smart phone, tablet or computer.
Users can chat to friendly counsellors, read articles written by other young people, and join live moderated forums.
Kooth helps to reduce wait times for young people seeking help and remove the stigma around mental health. This service integrates with face-to-face local services to ensure seamless transition for young people.
A team of accredited counsellors, therapists and support workers provide guided help for each individual who contacts them via the Kooth website.
They take safeguarding and clinical governance extremely seriously. The safety and well-being of Kooth users is their upmost priority.
