Blackburn Central High School will be supporting the Brain Tumour Research charity during annual Wear A Hat Day on Friday 29th March 2019.
Students and staff will be donning hats to raise awareness and funds for brain tumour research next month. Brain tumours can affect anyone at any age, and kills more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer.
Brain Tumour Research is the only national charity in the UK dedicated to raising funds for continuous and sustainable scientific research into brain tumours.
Ms Rathore, pastoral manager at Blackburn Central High School, said:
“We’re delighted to be taking part in Wear A Hat Day this year and I can’t wait to see hundreds of students in their bright and colourful hats. It all goes towards an important cause and, with more than 900 pupils here, I’m sure it’s going to be a lively day!”
The funds raised will help develop a network of world-class brain tumour research centres in the UK.
