The Food Technology students of Blackburn Central High School are once again gearing up to enter the national FutureChef competition.
Students aged between 12 – 16 years old, who are keen to learn more about cooking, can gain experience, meet professionals and develop their skills through Springboard’s FutureChef!
Food Technology teacher Mr McCrone held the first stage of the competition at BCHS with Crosshill. Students Adam and Nicole won this heat, and will now have intensive lessons with Mr McCrone in readiness for competing in the regional finals at Blackburn College in the New Year.
Being part of this nationwide competition can lead to student recognition awards, industry visits, access to online skills resources and chef demonstrations, and open up career opportunities.
