Charity work with Al-Imdaad Foundation

Al-Imdaad charity

Earlier this year students from Blackburn Central High School raised £1340 for Al-Imdaad Foundation UK.

We are very pleased to be able to support this amazing charity, and wanted to share where the money raised has been spent so far:

  • £650 will provide five water hand pumps for Sri Lanka communities
  • £300 will purchase three wheelchairs for care homes in the UK
  • £50 will provide 50 meals for homeless people in the UK
  • £200 is going on two sewing machines

Established in 2003, Al-Imdaad Foundation is a leading international aid relief and development organisation; Dedicated to providing humanitarian services in crisis and non-crisis situations throughout the world to the most needy irrespective of race, religion, culture and geographical boundary.

As well as responding to disasters and emergencies, they promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities.
