This week we held Careers Employability Workshop for our students to help identify and develop their strengths.
The career employability workshop’s aim was to develop skills such as logic, timekeeping and creativity. It also raised awareness of industry and businesses across Lancashire.
Students took part in a number of challenges that helped to identify their strengths, including working creatively during a “Think Outside the Box” challenge.
Following this the students reflected on their learning and identified areas that required development.
Finally the workshops gave them a taste of the types of activities used in assessment centres, which many employers and universities now use when selecting candidates for apprenticeships or courses.
