The entirety of our Year 10 students spent last Tuesday at Blackburn College on 3rd July getting first hand experience of some of the courses that they offer.
Our students got to sample courses in childcare, travel and tourism, A-levels and engineering among a whole range of subject areas. Lunch was also provided by the College, so it really was a truly all round experience of the facilities!
Year 10 students will apply for their college courses and apprenticeships when they return to BCHS in September.
Careers advice and guidance can be sought from Mrs Ansbro (independent careers adviser), Mrs Reeves, Mr Farooq and Mrs Jowett.
Predicted GCSE grades will be required by any post-16 education provider, so it is vital that all students aspire to reach their target grades and beyond, to have the best choice of pathway as they leave school.
